Over six years ago, the world lost a beautiful, smart, athletic young woman named Eve Crowell. Eve was a friend and a colleague of mine at Kirkland & Ellis. In memory of Eve, her father founded a nonprofit organization named Eve's Fund for Native American Health Initiatives, Inc. (http://evecrowellsfund.org/). Eve's Fund is dedicated to promoting literacy, mental health, and education programs for young Native people. In honor of Eve, who would've been 37 on November 4, Eve's Fund has launched a fundraising initiative: raise $8,000, enough to buy 1,000 bike helmets for kids living in poverty on the Navajo Nation, by DECEMBER 1. I'm appealing to you to ask for your support in fundraising for this challenge. On Thanksgiving morning, I will be running to raise money for Eve's Fund. Please contribute any amount you can, and help Eve's Fund reach its goal! I'm also happily accepting donations offline, as well. Thank you for your generosity!
