EVENT DATE: Jun 30, 2013
We Need Volunteers to Run or Walk for Eve's Fund!
Navajo children in the southwestern United States face enormous obstacles in their lives, including poverty, domestic violence and abuse. Preventable injuries in this region are three times the national average.
Last year through the generosity of our donors, we were successful in raising over $3,000 to buy safety helmets for Navajo kids through our ThinkFirst Navajo program. Now, Eve’s Fund is trying to raise $4,000 by June 30, 2013 to schedule 40 more injury prevention workshops in school across the Navajo Nation by the end of 2013.
Would you consider making a donation...even a small on to this important cause.
Your donation could prevent a brain or spinal cord injury...or even save a life!
If you are planning to run or walk in any kind of race in the next two months, please consider raising money for Eve’s Fund at the same time. Contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org to join our team and to set up your own donation page. Or, join us at the Shiprock Marathon on May 4, 2013 at a variety of races that will be happening. Our Boy Scout Troop will be fitting and distributing 100 more helmets to all the kids who finish a race.
Whether you’re signed up for a short fun run with your children...a 5K...10K or even a longer race, you can celebrate your accomplishment and give the race an added purpose by telling your friends and asking them to make a tax-deductible contribution to our Running for Eve's Fund Challenge 2013.
To donate to our cause, just click the big orange DONATE button on this page. PLEASE NOTE: The 10% Processing fee added on by Crowdrise is completely optional and does not go to Eve's Fund (Just click the orange processing fee link to reset to $0 and click the Update button).
To help even more, click the JOIN THE TEAM button to get your own page. You can then invite your friends and family to donate.
Warm thanks from Eve's mom,
Barbara Crowell Roy
PS. Eve's dad Bob and I are running our first 10 K at the Shiprock NM Marathon and even if we had to crawl into the finish line, expect to finish.
