BENEFITING: Lee Pesky Learning Center, Inc.
EVENT DATE: Jun 14, 2014
It's 2014 and we're lacing up our shoes once again… we’re Running for Learning!
On June 14th, our super stealth, dedicated, totally out of this world amazing runners are teaming up to take on the Sawtooth Relay in central Idaho. They'll start in Stanley, ID (pop. 101) in the wee hours of the morning and make their way, in 5 mile stretches, up and over the mighty Galena Summit (elevation 8,701). They'll snake down the Wood River Valley, following the river, to their final destination: Atkinson Park in Ketchum, ID. Our team is motivated by one goal: LEARNING!
Each member of our team is raising funds for Lee Pesky Learning Center's (LPLC) Lifetime of Learning Fund, which provides cost savings for families in need of our services. Students who come to LPLC receive learning tools that truly last a lifetime and help them be successful in school and in life!
Donate to LPLC's Running for Learning campaign and give the gift of lifelong learning to a student with Learning Disabilities.
Lee Pesky Learning Center (LPLC) is a nonprofit education organization based in Boise, Idaho. Our mission is to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities (LD) through prevention, evaluation, treatment, and research.
Approximately 20% of the US population struggles with a learning disability, a neurological disorder that interferes with a person’s ability to store, process, or produce information. There is no cure for a learning disability, but there are tested and proven methods to teach people with LD the skills they need to be successful in school and life.
