Running For Lorenzo Ripandelli
Organized by: Patrick Nebiolo
EVENT DATE Nov 02, 2014
Dear friends ,
about a year and a half ago in a hospital in Houston a great little friend of mine closed his beautiful big brown eyes and went to Heaven. His name was Lorenzo Ripandelli and he was 11 years old, suffering from a rare form of cancer: the desmoblastoma small round cell . This disease affects only children , has a very high mortality rate and treatments are still in a very experimental stage .
Together with Andrea and Francesca , Lorenzo's mom and dad, I decided to run this New York City Marathon to raise funds to help families who are in the same dramatic conditions, without the economic means to fight a battle so hard and vital.
I think this occasion so joyous and bonding for me that I love running is the right one to help these little creatures and to remember my loved little friend Lorenzo .
A big thank you for what you can do for this great cause, but also from Andrea and Francesca who I am proud to be friend with in joy and sorrow.
