THE STORY:

Sandeep Shah, an Austin radiologist, is running a 100 mile ultra marathon in July 2015. His efforts will be utilized to raise money for Pratham.
I have known Sandeep for three decades, ever since he was a student with my daughter Shivani in a Chinmaya Mission Houston Bal Vihar class. His parents, Anil and Purnima Shah, have been ardent supporters of Pratham since its inception. Anilbhai has also served as President of Pratham USA.
I am thrilled that Sandeep is taking up the mantle of Pratham and literally running in the philanthropic footsteps of his parents.
I am asking all of you to join me by donating $100 to Pratham USA to encourage Sandeep's dedication to running and his desire to help Pratham's noble literacy efforts.

Ultra-marathon turns into an extreme TAPASYA where intense training and unflinching dedication brings body, mind and spirit together in a laser focus on the goal. Helping India's poor children to learn how to read, write and count is a noble cause. May this noble cause inspire you and give you strength from mile to mile. May you cross the finish line in high spirits and satisfaction with a smile on your face. Thank You for daring to take this tremendous challenge for kids whom you may never meet in life. We all should ask ourselves - "What can we do?". May God bless you. 2 years ago
