I just wanted to tell you about my good friend Racheli Rubin who was recently diagnosed with Lymphoma. Racheli and I met in Israel and have been friends for a couple of years now. She's a strong and driven young woman who is dedicated to her friends, family, and her Judaism. Even though her prognosis is "good" (whatever that means), she's still in for a long journey of treatments and hospital visits. Despite the reality of her situation, she's still holding on to her faith in Hashem and has a strong will to beat this.
That brings me to my next point - Together with our friend Sara Cherny, who will be running a half marathon in the coming months, Racheli has decided to raise money for the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She's such a giving person! Sara has chosen to run her marathon in Racheli's honor and we're all helping her raise funds for this cause.
It would mean a lot to Sara and Racheli and her family, if you could spend 30 seconds on this website, http://www.crowdrise.com/Runni
Any amount will help.
