Running for Ryan

EVENT DATE Apr 26, 2015
A friend of mine named Ryan Veirs had an unexpected seizure almost 3 years ago. An immediate evaluation led to the discovery of a high-grade malignant brain tumor about the size of an avocado. He underwent surgery that successfully removed a large portion of the tumor, then underwent several cycles of chemotherapy with significant side effects. After 2 1/2 years of treatment with stable MRI scans, A scan in March showed a recurrence of tumor along with an adjacent cyst. He underwent another surgery on April 10th, during which the surgeons were able to remove all traces of tumor, along with the cyst. He is now back at home, but faces another long road of recovery and further chemotherapy.
Throughout this ordeal, the Veirs family has been a steadfast example of faith and confidence in Christ. Ryan, his wife Lori, and their two sons have had more than their fair share of adversity, but through it all their prayer and desire has been to see God glorified and to draw nearer to Him through their hardships.
I will be "Running for Ryan" in the OKC Memorial Half Marathon this year, and ask for your help as we do what we can to bless him and his family. Any and all donations are welcome in order to help defray their substantial medical expenses. Thank you for your help!
