For the fifth year I'm racing with the The Running for Shelter relay team as part of the Hood to Coast relay race in Oregon to raise money for affordable housing. The team has been racing for 18 years and has raised over $600,000!
The annual Hood to Coast has been called the "Mother of All Relays." The world's largest relay race has over 1,000 teams of 12 people starting on Friday, August 28, in Mt Hood and crossing a finish line 197 miles away in Seaside. It takes place over 24 hours.
This year the Running for Shelter will run the course in support of Bienestar, http://www.bienestar-or.org/. Bienestar is a nonprofit working with the poorest neighborhoods in the greater Portland area to unleash the potential of people to improve the quality of life for themselves, their children, their families, and the community. They operate 11 multifamily properties for 487 farmworker and working poor families.

Thank you, again, for any support!!
