BENEFITING: LOUDOUN COMMUNITY CAT COALITION
I have always loved animals but have never had pets as an adult. My best friend Kathy has had dogs and a cat and I started thinking about getting a pet. She introduced me to Kim Fields. We adopted a cat or two and our house. I never expected to love them so much. Our house would be so empty without them. We saw little Fuzzy (aka Teddy Bear) who needed to be adopted a year ago. He was/is the most inperfect perfect animal. I walked in and wanted him instantly. His little broken smile, missing teeth, and wanting to be held had me at hello. He was so skinny, half of his arms shaved from being underfed and left for months with no food or water with his little toothless grin, I couldn't say no. He needed our family as much as we needed to love him. They rescued him out of a townhouse and was left for months. He was drinking from a humidifier. I'm really not sure how long he went without food or water but now he now but loves life and is a big ball of fur and is so happy. That is why I am running.
