The Cleveland Animal Protective League's mission is to foster compassion and end animal suffering. Incorporated in 1913, they are an independent, nonprofit humane society located in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood. Our animal shelter, services, and programs are made available solely through fundraising, donations, foundation and corporate support, and service fees.
The Cleveland APL provides shelter to homeless animals relinquished by their guardians, animals that are rescued from abuse or neglect, and stray or abandoned cats.
The Cleveland APL accepts every animal in need, regardless of condition, disposition, or space available. There are no time limits or specific schedules assigned to how long an animal may stay at the Cleveland APL – animals are NOT euthanized for space or time limits. Simply put, an adoptable animal will stay with us until a new home is found. We are committed to 100 percent placement of adoptable animals and envision a time when every friendly, healthy, homeless animal in our community can be cared for until a new family is found.
This year I'm taking on 1,2,3,4,5.....um, well I've lost track of how many races I'm doing. Most of them benefiting a charity that organizer is passionate about. That's great, but I want to raise money for something I'm passionate about.

5/15 - Cleveland Rite Aid Half Marathon 13.1 miles
6/5 - Warrior Dash 4 mile Run and Obstacle Course
6/18 - Ohio City Run Crawl 5k

8/6 - Independence 5k Run
9/11 - River Run Half Marathon 13.1 miles
