My son was born in 2005 with a heart defect that required surgery days after he was born. Due to the excellent care he received from the miracle workers at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), he is a healthy young boy living a completely normal life. Or at least as normal a life as a 7-year old boy can lead...
Please consider donating $1 toward my goal (the minimum donation on this site is $10; however, i will gladly pick up your cash donation of $1 if you live nearby...or you can send me $1 via paypal [email me at email@example.com for more info]). Your dollar(s) will be donated to the American Heart Association (AHA) to help raise awareness about healthy living and the risks of heart disease and stroke.
In return for your hard-earned money...on 9/22/12 I will run approximately 5 miles from my house in Havertown, PA to Gaetano's pizzeria in Clifton Heights, PA. At the end of the run I will eat an entire pizza. Seems contradictory right? I figure having a whole pizza to myself once a year can't hurt too much, especially after running 5 miles to get it! I do not, however, recommend this stunt be undertaken on a regular basis :)
If you'd like to join the run, please let me know. I'd love some company (the eating-a-whole-pizza thing certainly isn't mandatory).
