Dear friends and family,
The fight against cancer goes on. There is no one I know who can say they do not have a friend or relative who has battled this terrible illness.
In support of my close friends and family, I will be running the Boston Half Marathon on Sunday, October 9th and have committed to raising $2,000 for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The mission of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is to provide expert, compassionate care to children and adults with cancer while advancing the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, cure, and prevention of cancer and related diseases. Incredible progress has been made (14% less cancer deaths have occurred from 1991 - 2005) – but, we are no where near where we need be. Your tax deductible gift will go a long way to in the battle against cancer.
Thanks in advance for your thoughtfulness and generosity. And while you are at it, feel free to send some good vibes to the Red Sox -- they need it. Thank you!
Since its founding in 1947, Dana-Farber has been committed to providing cancer patients with the best treatment available today while developing tomorrow's cures through cutting-edge research.
