EVENT DATE: Apr 21, 2018

What: 5K to support women's education through She's the First

Date: April 21st 2018

Location: Wilson Park Fayetteville, Arkansas

Cost: $10 for all students or anyone under 25; $15 for non-students or anyone over 25

Ages: all ages

Other Details: STF supports girls who will be the first in their families to graduate high school and trains students everywhere to be global citizens. To achieve our mission, we use a holistic, multi-pronged approach: Scholarships, Global Citizenship, and Locally-Led Partnerships.

By donating you will help our local chapter send a girl to school, it takes around $400 to send one of our girls to school. Throughout their education, we are able to keep in touch with them and hear about what they are learning.

We have taken on a challenge for She's the First and will be hosting a 5K in Wilson park in late April. All the funds and awareness we raise will impact first generation students enabling them to receive an education. We believe educated women are unstoppable, that is why we are trying to help as many women gain access to education as possible.

We hope to raise at least $1,000 and advocate for the mission of She's the First. It feels great to be making a difference with my own sweat! Also, I am amping my efforts by partnering with Positive Tracks – an organization that helps young people make change using the power of athletics. In addition to supporting me and my effort, they are doubling the dollars I raise for She's the First up to $1,000!

If you can’t make a donation at this point, help me reach my goal by sharing this on social media or coming to cheer at my event! Or, even better, send an email to friends who might be interested in participating or contributing, and include a link to my page.

THANK YOU for helping me and being a part of this! Every woman deserves access to education, and it is so meaningful to us that you are willing to support our chapter.
