Running to Remember Dr. Michael J. Davidson
Organized by: Igor Gosev
Event Name: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE Apr 20, 2015
On January 20, 2015, Dr. Michael J. Davidson, a beloved colleague, mentor, dear friend and family man, was tragically taken in a senseless act of violence at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) where he served as Director of Endovascular Cardiac Surgery.
Mike was a wonderful and inspiring cardiac surgeon who devoted his career to saving lives and improving the quality of life of every patient he cared for. His passion and care for his patients and their families was legendary and his surgical skills visionary.
His generosity to our BWH community, sharing his time both professionally and personally, was limitless.
In addition to his exceptional medical career, Mike was a dedicated husband, father, son, brother, friend, and fellow runner. He ran the 111th Boston Marathon in 2010 on his 40th birthday with Team Brigham to help the hospital further its mission to helping others. This year, in honor of Mike’s extraordinary legacy and generous spirit, we are running the Boston Marathon to help support his wife, Dr. Terri Halperin, their three children, and baby on the way. In addition to providing Terri and the Davidson children with household and educational support, we hope our fundraising efforts will help fuel recovery and healing to his closest ones.
Please join us in honoring the memory of our dear colleague and friend Mike by making a donation to the Dr. Michael J. Davidson Family Fund.
Together, we will all be like Mike.
Donations to personal fundraisers are not tax deductible.
