BENEFITING: ADOPTION MOSAIC
EVENT DATE: Oct 05, 2014
Many of you know that I turned 40 this year and decided that I should mark this milestone by running the Portland Marathon. The only other marathon that I've run was 16 years ago and my goal is to prove to myself that my legs still have it in them and maybe even shave off a few minutes from my 1998 time.
Besides the personal satisfaction that I hope to achieve in this endeavor, I would also like to use this opportunity to raise money for Adoption Mosaic, a Portland-based non-profit organization. Adoption Mosaic plays a critical role in the adoption community. Rather than being a placement agency, they focus on providing adoptive families with a wide array of much-needed services and programming that adoptive families need to thrive.
Randy and I have personally benefited from the the services and innovative programming that Adoption Mosaic provides. Please consider contributing to this great organization and on October 5th, please cheer me on (in person or from afar)!
