For me, running has been about overcoming adversity. That's why, when Hurricane Sandy hit the NYC area, running the NYC Marathon took on a whole new meaning and became a way for me to help the region to overcome the effects of Sandy. In the wake of the cancellation of the NYC Marathon, I felt like I lost an opportunity to help the area overcome some of its loss. But thanks to the organizers of the Philadelphia Marathon, I still have a chance to run and help the region endure. But I need your help. Cheer me on, cheer the people affected by Hurricane Sandy on, by donating $1 per mile ($26.2 total), or whatever you feel is appropriate, to the American Red Cross to help all those affected by Sandy and other natural disasters. Thank you!
