EVENT DATE: May 05, 2013
Please help Kristy and I raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis research by supporting me in my effort to run the 2013 Pittsburgh Marathon in May.
Cystic Fibrosis is a cause close to our hearts as our youngest son Alex was diagnosed at birth with the disease because of newborn screenings.
While a cure is not yet known, great advances have been made in treating the disease. In fact, Alex was one of the youngest individuals in the country to start using his physical therapy vest. He was only 1 year old.
We are confident that due to the great advances made in the treatment of this disease, that Alex will be provided the same opportunities in life to live it to the fullest that the rest of us that do not have this disease are afforded.
So please support me by clicking big Donate button, and feel free to ask me how my training is going. Running a marathon is no easy task, but neither is curing a genetic disease. Thank You!
About the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation:
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis. We fund more CF research than any other organization, and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support.
We are a nonprofit donor-supported organization dedicated to attacking cystic fibrosis from every angle. Our focus is to support the development of new drugs to fight the disease, improve the quality of life for those with CF, and ultimately to find a cure.
