When I decided to run with a charity team for the Pittsburgh Half Marathon, I chose the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). Why cystic fibrosis (CF)?
A few years ago, I became friends with Katharine. While she looks like a healthy 28-year-old newlywed, Katharine has CF. What you don't see are the daily medications, visits with docs, and hospitalizations that fight to keep Katharine healthy.
Just 50 years ago, most with CF didn't live past elementary school. Now, people like Katharine can expect to live into their 30s, 40s, and beyond.
CFF funds more cystic fibrosis research than any other organization, and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support. Let's make CF stand for Cure Found.
