BENEFITING: San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center
EVENT DATE: Aug 12, 2016
From August 12-14, the Russian River Riders will trek 200+ miles to raise money and awareness for the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center.
The riders depart from the historic firehouse in the Haight where the Prevention Center serves children and families and head north to wear the Russian River pours into the Pacific. Then they'll turn around and ride those 107 miles back.
The heroic efforts of these riders fund programs that teach kids what's okay and what's not - and how to speak up, that teach parents positive skills and techniques for interacting with their children, that help child victims heal. Show your support for the Russian River Riders, The Prevention Center, and most importantly, for San Francisco's kids. Together, we can create a community safe for each and every child.
“There is nothing more important than helping to protect helpless children. If there is any universal moral obligation, in my opinion, that is it. The Prevention Center team will honor your choice and put every cent we donate and raise to good use - and you can rest assured that while you may never personally meet the child whose abuse you prevented -- you have absolutely helped change the future for many children, and our world is a better place this today because of your choice.” – Chris Keane, Russian River Ride Founder & former Prevention Center Board Chair
