Hello everyone. My name is Rustin Chesney and I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this!
I am a US Army Infantry veteran who has spent a lot of time in Iraq. I attended Arizona State University during the same time as Pat. I first learned of Pat's death at Ft. Benning, Ga. in the Army's Infantry Training Brigade. I remember thinking that if he could not make it, then what hope do the rest of us have. I spent most of my military career in Iraq and survived to make it back to the States, mostly in one piece.
Pat always challenged those around him to strive for the best and overcome any and all challenges presented to them. He was a man of great character and integrity!
The Tillman Foundation, set up in Pat's name, helps military Veterans and/or their spouses to finish their education and encourages all scholars to give back to their communities. I have done Pat's Run for the past few years and the assistance that the foundation gives the Tillman Scholars and their families is second to none.
As a Veteran, who is currently finishing my education in Nuclear Medicine, I truly understand the huge financial and time commitments this places on every family. The stress is huge, but the support the Tillman Foundation gives its scholars helps tremendously! This foundation is dedicated to helping combat veterans, and their families, strive for success and helps give them the support they need to achieve it.
Any and all assistance and support given to the Foundation is truly appreciated! Currently I have an individual who will match every dollar donated through my page to raise as much money for the Tillman Foundation as possible. I would like to thank you for taking the time to read through this and I hope you have a wonderful day!
