Hello Everyone! As some of you know, I've embarked on a new stage of life here in Lafayette, Indiana. Even before arriving, I could sense a strong desire to pour into a ministry more than I've been able to do in the past due to jobs, schedules and life busyness. Those of you who know me can attest to the fact, that worship is at the CORE of my passion for God. It's been a heavy calling on my life since I was young. I've done my best to be obedient to that calling everywhere I've lived. From Cumberland Community Church, Smyrna, GA, Cornerstone Community Church in St Petersburg, Fl, to leading at BTG and NGCC youth camps, to Westside Nazarene when I was a teen, even Fellowship Alliance Church in Fountain, FL when I was 15. God has used me in many ways and has been Faithful to me throughout my life. It brings me to a new chapter, where God is calling me out onto the water here in Lafayette, Indiana. More specifically, to a church that is very young (4 years since planted). To a church that is on the verge of thriving or dying. Innovation is thriving in leadership from its planter and pastor, Billy Holden. Brilliant, passionate, driven by God's calling and his heart for the 67% of Tippecanoe county that do not claim Christianity. Unfortunately, it's also on the verge of dying. In the sense that, Billy is doing "EVERYTHING". Preaching, shepherding, leading worship, organizing community events, managing the church's finances, leading small groups, mowing the churchs lawn, cleaning toilets, and this isn't everything. You can imagine that after four years, it could take a toll. I love Billy's mindset and work ethic as it relates to scripture. Lafayette needs to hear the life saving message about Jesus and it's up to us to be a beacon of hope to the communities that surround Innovation Church. I feel led to come along side Billy at Innovation to bring some much needed reinforcement. To support and help take Innovation Church to the next level. I will have an immediate impact in the areas of Worship Ministry, Organizational Leadership, and Financial Management. These are areas that Billy has indicated would primarily be my responsibility. This allows Billy to thrive in other areas that need more time and attention and by working together, we can achieve more than ever before at Innovation. It's a Four Square Gospel Church. It is located south of Lafayette proper, right in the thick of growing residential neighborhoods. The denomination's history is foundationally missions focused with currently 68,000 churches or meetings worldwide and only 1700 stateside. Their missional attitude is not only exemplified outside the U.S.. They model this in everyone of their churches from the inside out. Evangelize, grow leaders, empower those called, and send them out. I feel that's what's occurred in my life to this point. My must recent church (Cumberland Community Church, Smyrna, GA) has been a place of preparation for me. Growing and learning. They gave me the ability to lead in a safe environment with loving leaders behind me supporting and pushing me farther along in ministry. Now, it feels as though they've "sent" me. It's now my job to come and be apart of a whole new season of reaping in Lafayette, Indiana. Here's the reality, being that the Innovation is an infant, in church years, the financial capability to hire all the people it needs, doesn't exist. The newness of the church, and the size of the congregation, has limited any salary until this past year. The pastor now gets a housing allowance. But there is no substantial amount left to hire staff that he desperately needs for the church to grow to its potential. So needless to say, there's no money for me. This is where you come in. If you know me, you've felt my heart, seen my desire to lead others into the presence of God and I believe there are those of you who have heart and the ability to answer the call to help me be able to commit one year of service to Innovation Church and the people of Tippecanoe county. God has a plan for me here and I'm all in, whatever he asks I'm going to do. Would you do the same? I'm looking for support of all kinds, but in order for me to effectively live and give all I can to this ministry, I'm asking God for $20,000. This includes my living expenses and possibly extra for sound equipment and tools we need to bring a bigger, stronger Gospel to the people of Tippecanoe county! I don't want to put God in a box! That number, was a minimal ask to God. He could have much bigger plans than I could ever imagine. If God calls or leads you to support me, I urge you to pray and listen for what you should give. I also desperately need prayer, Satan had already started to rear his ugly head, trying to defeat me before it's even begun, but I won't let him. I'm covered by the blood, and Jesus has already win the victory! So PLEASE stand with me, the people of Innovation Church, and county of Tippecanoe. Let us pour ourselves out for His Kingdom! Thank You! Ryan Hodge
