Hello everyone. My name is Ryan. I am an aspiring Zoologist from Long Island, NY. I am currently living in St Andrews, Scotland where I am attending University. As a university student, I do not have much to my name financially. Next year, in 2015, I wish to spend 2 months in the Kruger National Park of South Africa, where I will undertake a highly research intensive internship to study the behaviour of the lions there. Lions are wonderful animals that need our help and support to thrive and beat endangerment. Studying the behaviour of the lions alive and in their natural habitat will allow more knowledge about these amazing animals to be known to the general public, and hopefully keep people from performing grueling actions against them such as canned hunts and poaching. With my internship I expect to be in contact with some leading scientists in the field of predatory mammal behaviour and thus will make a solid contribution to the research and conservation of the African Lions. I am asking for and need your support to make my internship a reality. It will be for a great cause for Lion science.
