Ryder's Medical Bill
Organized by: Sean Tabler
One week ago we welcomed Ryder into our family. He was a 10 week old Miniature Australian Sheppard. We all fell in love with him, especially my 9 year old son Jacob. Ryder started having diarrhea a few days ago and yesterday began vomiting as well. We took him to the emergency veterinarian office last night. The Vet ran some tests and diagnosed him with Parvovirus. She told us the virus is fatal if not treated. To treat Ryder he would have to be admitted to the hospital for 5 days. He would need IV fluids and medications to combat the effects of the virus. She said the prognosis for a full recovery would be good because it was caught early. However, she told us the treatment is estimated to cost $2,600.00. I was shocked and floored. I didn't know how we would be able to afford it, but we couldn't just let Ryder die. After agonizing over what to do for nearly 30 minutes there in the veterinarian office I handed over my credit card. We paid the 50% down payment, but I don’t know how we will be able to pay the other 50% or the credit card bill when it comes. I beg you to help with whatever you can. Just $2 from 1300 people would be enough. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
