BENEFITING: American Red Cross
Rye for Remedy is a fundraiser for victims of the typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. According to CNN, more than 3,000 people have died and close to 3 million people have been displaced. This typhoon has been labeled "one of the most powerful storms to hit land". Compared to the major hurricanes of the United Statesn such as Sandy and Katrina, the impact that typhoon Haiyan has had on the Philippines is far worse with gusts of wind reaching up to 235 miles per hour. The city of Tacloban is one of the worst areas to be hit and has been virtually flattened. Although relief efforts are underway, many people still supplies. Rye for Relief aims to raise $1,000 dollars to help support these victims. By donating, you can help to make a difference.
