Organized by: RYOT.org
The RYOT Foundation was established in 2011, with its initial sole purpose to fund the creation and maintenance of Haiti’s first and only little league baseball team, the Tabarre Tigers — a rambunctious bunch of boys, some left homeless or orphaned by the 2010 earthquake and cholera epidemic, but with dreams as big as a major league ball field.
The mission of the RYOT Foundation has since expanded. Through innovative projects and strategic partnerships, RYOT Foundation now focuses on sustainable ways to foster hope in the midst of despair and to give a voice to the voiceless. We believe children everywhere should not only have access to basic needs such as food, water and shelter but that they also have the right to joy and fun.
The RYOT Foundation not only focuses on essential relief but also funds programs that allow kids to be kids, no matter what their surroundings dictate. The key to a better world isn’t just keeping the next generation alive, it’s about allowing the next generation to be creative, dream, appreciate life and ultimately, to have fun. We have initiatives in Haiti, Uganda, The Gambia, Nunavut and the United States.
