Dear Friends of JRM Foundati…
Dear Friends of JRM Foundation and supporters of #Hike4Humanity.

I deeply appreciate your support and generosity. Our team leaves in less than 10 days for a very remote part of Nepal in Sindhupalchowk district.
We will keep you updated on our efforts through my Facebook page and emails.

Once again thanks for being part of this amazing journey. I have summarized some of the details as below.
Sincerely,

Fahim Rahim, MD FASN
======================================
Thank You For donation.

I wanted to thank you for your generosity and your support. My team and I have been working in this specific area in Sindhupalchowk since the earthquake. We also have had several projects in Nepal even before this disaster struck. We believe in the fact that we may not be able to change lives of every person but even if we are able to make a difference in one person`s life or put a smile on their face, then all efforts and challenges were worth it.

I would like to share with you some of the work from last year. Amrit Sharma who wrote for Huff Post is joining us again and will be documenting our efforts. My team and I will keep you posted with updates and our efforts when we get to the ground, so please stay in touch with me on Facebook page.

Why Yangri Village:

Second Mission to the area:

This year our focus is,

1) Continue our efforts in disaster relief with home building and infrastructure.
2) Install 10 smokeless stoves in village Yangri for 10 families.
3) Girls Education efforts by supporting a school in Bhaktapur close to brick factory area so we get a chance for some of those kids to be able to attend school at least part of the year.
4) Initiate a road construction project, do petition sign from local villages between Milamchi and Yangri. This road connects several dozen villages who get disconnected from the rest of the country for 6 months during monsoon season.
5) 8For8 Project for empowering local rural women in disaster struck villages (www.8For8.org)

Once again thank you my friend for being a part of our team.
Best Regards,
Fahim

JRM Foundatio… SAYS:
Ladies and Gentleman you all…
Ladies and Gentleman you all have done a wonderful job donating significant amount of money and your time to this cause. This is by no means the end as far as we are concerned it is a starting point. We are currently around the $60000 mark, but as you all know we have raised the bar and challenged president obama and U.S Govt. in a #milliondollarchallenge for Nepal. We will surely try our best to get close to that mark. Unfortunately we have a bit of a hurdle, we will have to end our current fundraiser page and transfer to a new URL of Crowdrise because we have surpassed the capacity of our current benefactors Idaho Community Fund. We are now truly an international relief effort and they are a community fund with local focus.
We will transfer the fundraiser now to Little sisters Fund an organization that has great roots in Nepal and they will be helping us with the rest of the fundraiser for us. Yes it does break the momentum but the total funds we have raised will still show on this fundraiser (not the individual fund raising though).
The new URL is crowdrise.com/earthquakenepal15 Crowdrise will still forward people to the new link from the old link as well. I hope you all consider donating again and encouraging others to do so as well. Please share the new URL with your friends and family as well.
Thanks once again for your donations. If you are not following us on facebook please do so at
