BENEFITING: American Institute for Cancer Research
EVENT DATE: Nov 07, 2010
My name is Sabrina Simpson. I am 14 years old. I am a 9th grader at Durham Academy (DA). My family and I moved to North Carolina 2 months ago from England. I would like to run to bring awareness to cancer, the killing disease that has affected so many people in our lives. I have lost my grand-father, and my aunt to cancer. Now, I have friends young and old who are fighting this disease which attacks different organs in different people. This is why I am so passionate about raising money for Cancer Research! I would like to ask for your help to find a cure for this awful disease. Your support in fighting cancer is very much needed. Please help by donating to the American Institute for Cancer Research.
I will be running the City of Oaks Half-Marathon (13.1 miles) in Raleigh on November 7th, 2010 : http://www.cityofoaksmarathon.com/
You can also find my name registered in this “Participation List”:
Although I run every year to raise money for Cancer Research, this is not an easy thing for me to do this time since I have a partially torn ligament on my right ankle. However, my doctor has given me an OK to run with care. I have been training and with my ankle stabilizer and a good reason in mind, I know I will cross the finish line! My goal is to do what I can to help the doctors and scientists to find a cure for cancer. Your support is very much appreciated.
