EVENT DATE: Dec 09, 2014
The SafePlace Life Skills Program offers skill-building workshops to individuals who have experienced sexual and/or domestic violence and who are working towards rebuilding their lives and that of their children. During the course of this 15-week empowerment program, participants learn to build a healthy mind, body and spirit, and improve upon the self-sufficiency skills that will help them to live independent, violence-free lives, including goal-setting, money management, effective job search skills, and learning about healthy relationships.
Twice a year, we honor those proud individuals who have completed the SafePlace Life Skills Program at a special Graduation ceremony. Our next Graduation will be held December 9th, 2014 and we expect approximately 50 people in attendance. We are seeking to raise funds to help off-set the costs of Gifts and Flowers for the Graduates, Refreshments, and Decorations to make the space extra special.
