BENEFITING: Saha Global
Hello loved ones!
I am ecstatic to share that I have been given an opportunity to learn and work alongside Saha Global with their Leadership Program in Ghana, Africa this summer! For three weeks of June, I will be working in a village with three other field representatives and a translator, where we will speak with village leaders and train community-appointed women to set up, implement, and successfully run a water purification business. What a dream? I know!
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? HALF of the population in Northern Ghana lacks access to clean drinking water. Often the villages only drinking resources are fecal-contaminated dugouts or other polluted rivers and ponds. This causes many dangerous waterborne diseases as well as malnutrition that can be prevented with the right resources. Saha Global runs based on the belief that clean water is a basic human right.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION. The funds that I am raising will pay for the start-up cost of treatment equipment including large drums, taps, chlorine tablets, etc. The wonderful practicality of Saha’s program is that all of the items are purchased from markets nearby in order for the women to keep running their business effectively after we leave. Our job is to teach and empower. The funds will also provide each household with a safe storage container that they will use to store the water they purchase, which will prevent contamination. 100% of the 84 water businesses that have been facilitated by Saha Global are still in place and have provided clean water for a growing number of 43,220 people. Your gift has the power to give life, which I think is pretty incredibe!
If you decide to give you can either do so with convenience through this site (please note that 4.5% of donation goes to the site) or if you prefer to send a check, please write my name (Taylor Coats) in the memo and send it to:

Most importantly, I will appreciate your prayers throughout this entire process. I am so excited to be a learner in this experience and to see what the Lord is doing over in Ghana! Thank you so much for your help in providing this most fundamental necessity of life to a community that is truly in need.
If you have any additional questions about my time in Ghana, SAHA, or anything at all please send me a note at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for all of your support!
