SAHA Global Service Trip - Flight and Visa Money
Organized by: Alex Cody
EVENT DATE Nov 10, 2016
This January, I will be traveling to Northern Ghana with Saha Global on a mission to provide clean drinking water to a rural community that currently obtains their water from polluted sources. In order to participate in this mission trip, I must raise $4950 before December 7. A majority of this money goes directly toward purchasing the equipment needed to build a sustainable water business that will be managed by the women in the community. Your donations can help an entire community have access to a resource that many of us take advantage of! A portion of the funds that are raised will go toward helping to pay for my plane ticket to Ghana, since I will be funding this mission trip on my own without the assistance of my family. Any donations are much appreciated, and no amount is too small!
Saha Global empowers women in rural communities to solve their village’s need for clean water and electricity by providing business opportunities. How do we do it? We bring leaders from around the world to Ghana through our Global Leadership Program where they train local women to launch profitable social enterprises. All of the revenue from these businesses stays in the community and is managed by the women entrepreneurs. To date, Saha Global has launched 93 clean water businesses and 26 solar electricity businesses, which empower 234 women entrepreneurs who serve 46,510 people. 100% of these businesses are still in operation today.
