Saheli’s free services in the South Asian American community are enabling thousands of families to live safe and healthy lives in New England
We are dedicated entirely to addressing the difficult issues of domestic abuse.
For over 20 years Saheli has taken significant strides to end domestic and intimate partner violence in Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Nepali and Sri Lanka community in New England.
• Assisted 182 women and 300 children with free domestic violence and crisis management, abandonment, divorce and child custody and support issues
• Provided financial aid to women to gain economic independence through continuing education to gain career skills and professional certification
• Provided 1,350 hours of counseling with the help of senior advocates and a licensed social worker
• Provided referrals to family law and immigration attorneys ; physical and mental health professionals.
