June 8th is World Oceans Day. It should be a celebration of life in the ocean, but this year more than ever, it is also a sad reminder about the destruction that humanity is wreaking on the environment. Life in the oceans is under huge pressures from overfishing, rising sea temperatures, pollution and lack of caring. And now, with our government pulling away from it's responsibilities, it is more important than ever that good people like ourselves get involved to protect and care for it. I have a great way that you can help. I'm even going to make it super fun... make a donation to Coral Reef Alliance, and I'll take you out sailing. I can take you out under the golden gate bridge at sunset, for a picnic on Angel island, or a tour the houseboats and seals of Sausalito. My boat, affectionately known as Pip, is not too big, and not too small. Summer is here, and the evenings are long. It's a great time to sail, experience the beauty of the ocean, and do something good for the world.
