ALL of our child care centers are Nationally Accredited and our Illinois centers are part of the Gold Circle of Quality through ExceleRate Illinois. Our mission is to prepare ALL children for success in school and in life. We offer high-quality, accessible child development services where learning is fun!
The Home Child Care Network:
The Home Child Care Network provides child care referrals to parents in need of 1st shift, 2nd shift, 3rd shift, weekend care, and care for children with special needs. Our home providers offer smaller group settings, the ability to keep siblings of different ages together, and more one-on-one attention for each and every child cared for. We partner with IDHS and United Way as well to offer financial assistance to families in need. We manage a network of licensed and license-exempt home child care providers, and partner with them to help improve their quality of care by offering personal consultations, safety and school supplies, preschool curriculum, and training opportunities all at no cost to the providers. Our goal is to provide high-quality home child care to all families in need, and ensure superior quality of care while helping home providers grow their businesses.
Open Door Crisis Assistance Program:
Open Door helps individuals and families facing immediate crisis by offering referrals to appropriate social services, providing financial assistance when necessary, and working directly with individuals to help move them forward on the path to self-sufficiency. We are connected to numerous local agencies and businesses to offer assistance for finding transportation, housing, food, clothing, and counseling and rehabilitation services. Our goal is to help an individual or family become self-sufficient and productive in our community.
SAL Child Care Connection Program:
SAL Child Care Connection is the Peoria, Illinois area's Child Care Resource and Referral program. Based in Peoria, SAL Child Care Connection offers a database of all licensed child care centers and homes in a nine-county area, helping parents connect with the child care that meets their needs. We also offer a Resource Library, training, consultation, and professional development opportunities for all child care providers in the area to help them improve their business and increase their quality of care. We work directly with the Illinois Department of Human Services as well, to offer financial assistance to parents through the Child Care Assistance Program in order to help make child care as affordable as possible to all.
