Sally Young Moving expenses and hospital bed and Groceries
Organized by: Cassie Mccarty-Marks
I want to start off by saying I am sorry this is so long but there is so much to say about Sally she is a wonderful woman. I also want you all to get to know more about her.
Sally young is 81 years old she has lived in Peru, IN for 57 years and used to own a beauty shop with her late husband Robert Young uptown. She now lives alone is the house she has lived in for the last 45 years which is nothing more that a booby trap for her now. The house has A LOT of problems that we don't have the time or money to fix. The house is also to big for her as she has trouble walking and cant walk with out assistance from a walker. She has trouble making it to the restroom most times she does not make it. She cant take a bath or a shower because her bathtub is to big for her to get in and out of so she sits on a shower chair and rinse off with the shower head. I would never ask complete strangers for financial help if it wasn't a matter of emergency. She needs to get out of this house before one of her falls become life threatening.
We have tried to get Sally to move for years now as her health has declined but she couldn't say goodbye to the house she lived in most of her adult life. The house she raised her children and her grandchildren in. The house she shared with the love of her life who is now gone. She now knows its time and she has comes to terms with saying goodbye. She has been approved for an apartment and can move in 2 weeks if she can come up with the money to transfer utilities and move her belongings. Peru utilities will not transfer without her account being paid if full.
I would like for you to know a little more about Sally. She is a caring, Thoughtful, and a Generous woman. She would do anything for anyone as long as they needed it, She goes without so other can have what they need. She gets up everyday and gets ready for the day no matter how bad she hurts or how tired she is she goes to her car and drives to her daughters house. (Her daughter is a diabetic that has became blind and is overweight with a lot of other health issues) She goes there and cooks her meals, feeds her cats, does her laundry, and cleans her house and also manages her medicine and takes her to doctors appointmets She does this while holding on tight to her walker knowing she could hurt herself but does it because she loves her daughter and would do anything for her because she is in need. No matter how bad of a day Sally is having she always make sure her friends and family are OK and don't need anything.
I know that a lot of you have no clue who she is and taking my word for it is hard because most of you probably don't know who I am. People take advantage of these types of sites and its hard to know if your hard earned money is going to what I am saying it is going toward. I get that i understand your hesitation, I never thought I would be the one making a fundraising site for someone because i was taught to work hard for what you want not ask for it as a handout. If I could work more I would, believe me this woman is worth it. Anything is helpful, I would like to get her moved as soon as possible get her a new bed and put some food in her house that is my goal. Please help if you can and if you cant help financially please share or say a prayer for her she needs anything she can get and deserves it as well. Thank you for your time reading and sharing sallys story it is appreciated more than you could ever imagine. I love this woman and so do many other people and so would you if you knew her personally. Have a blessed day.
