Here's her wish...
My 33rd birthday wish is for you to join me in honoring my Gran. :)
My Granny was my first best friend and she was so loved as the matriarch of our family. We lost her suddenly last November after she had a major surgery in July for Lung Cancer.
She inpsired me to help others and she taught me unconditional love. She loved God, Her family, all things Kentucky and Neil Diamond. She was one of the most fun people I have ever known and because of that, her love and sense of humor and fun will passed down for generations as we all live on in her memory and remember her.
My 33rd year will be the first year that she is not a part of my life and I am working on being the most healthy and loving mom, wife, daughter and friend that I can be. I think we all set these goals at the beginning of the year in the form of New Year's Resolution but by the time my birthday rolls around in mid-Febraury, those are long gone and pushed to the bottom of the list as more things begin to pile up and our years resume their business.
This year, let's make new goals and stay on top of them! I know I plan to with the memory of my Gran and her love fueling my determination to improve my health and my life. My family and I will be walking 73 miles combined this month (at least Carl, Jack and I will, Matthew will be carried that many miles :) in memory of my Granny who was 73 years old her last birthday.
She inspired me every day of my life and I hope that we can inspire you to be more healthy too! How many miles will you contribute to your health this month?
