It feels good to post this. Its possible because of each one of you. All nets except for a couple hundred have been distributed. They are now in the hands of families. The remaining nets are for the camp in Chitlang (Makwanpur). Once the roads are safe to travel the remaining nets will reach the camp. So now we officially close this effort. All this was possible due to many Nepali and friends of Nepal who stepped up. I was doing the final administrative paperwork I was so proud of the fact that most of our contributors were Nepalis. And very touched by our generous friends who felt for our country and community. Thank you Joan Halifax, (Upaya Zen Center), Fahim Rahim Dai, Susan Lees, Global Fund for Women, my family and friends.

The remaining nets were distributed by Udaya Thapa and Aban Gtm.
Thank you truly from the bottom of my heart. With our concerted efforts we were able to provide a small comfort to families. Trust me these nets will be reused to its last shred. Let's pray that the recovery effort for every family that is affected is speedy.

We raised 10225.00 in three weeks together. We distributed 3442 nets. All the nets were made locally which really makes me happy.

Dear kind friends,
The human tragedy in Nepal has affected us all. You have stepped forward to help. These nets may not save lives but will provide some comfort in harsh conditions. They will also be reused for a very long time.

Our team have been on the ground in Nepal since day one. I was there from the 7th day and personally I had never seen some devastation in my life. Currently, we are fighting against heavy monsoon rains as we help in resettlement for displaced families. The net distribution has begun. We started our first distribution to the Sherpa camps in the vicinity of Kathmandu. We are sending nets to Gorkha Hospital (maternity ward), refugee camps and women's camp. Our team on the ground are now working hard to distribute the nets along with solar lamps, salt in some cases, other supplies. Please join us at #netsfornepal on Facebook. You can follow us on our personal pages Samisha Joshi LaMeyer or Max Khatry.

Thank you. We will keep you posted as we distribute these nets. We are very grateful.

Love

Thank you for helping the families in Nepal with mosquito nets. Most families are rebuilding one brick at a time. They have no insurance. This is our small effort for their comfort and safeguard against malaria.
Thank you very much,
One behalf of each team member and families in Nepal.
