BENEFITING: SPANISH EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT CENTER
This Spring, I'm running my first half marathon. It is a toss up as to whether or not I will be able to finish the entire 13.1 miles. However, I want to dedicate 13 miles of my run to the Spanish Education Development Center, and just the last .1 mile for myself. My goal is to get at least 10 sponsors to donate $10/mile for every mile I complete! That means I'm hoping to successfully cross the finish line and therefore raise $130 from 10 different sponsors....in other words, $1,300 towards SED's educational programs benefiting immigrant children, adults and their families in the Washington D.C. area. I'll be updating you all on my training and garnering support up until the race on April 28, 2013. In the meantime, please check out SED Center and all the good it does and pledge to help me make a small difference in the lives of many!
