It's taper time!
February 01, 2017
Why? Why would I do this to myself again? Running 230 miles in 8 days during the 2016 Run Across Haiti was by far the toughest, most painful experience of my life. Seriously, take a moment to check out the videos on the main fundraising page. The guy puking? Yep. That would be this guy.
But every step of suffering is worth it. Haiti is a vibrant, beautiful place, and the people are worth the embrace. I am running for Team Tassy, an organization where both they and the people they serve are willing to do whatever it takes for however long it takes to eliminate the poverty in their lives. Isn't that what Christian love and discipleship is supposed to look like? That makes drinking a few ounces of suffering during the Run an honor.
So here we go again! I invite you to come along for the ride. Make a donation. Follow Team Tassy on social media both before and during the Run. The money raised during this adventure is truly an investment into the families of Menelas for generations to come. We are indeed better together!
