This campagin is for the one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. It's because breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women and is the second leading cause of death among women. Now is my time to do something about it, every little bit helps!
My name is Sam Sewell, I'm a theatre artist, Pedi- Cab Driver, and adventurous individual based in Boston MA. and I will be doing a self contained biking tour beginning from Provincetown and going to San Francisco starting on October 1st. and ending in December (date undetermined).
Having been raised by a multitude of women I am always inspired by their perseverance, dedication, strength, and kindness towards others. This tour is my opportunity to give back to the community of women who have helped shape me into the fierce individual I am today.
There are a number of other reasons this biking campaign came into existence but essentially my plan is to raise money to fight breast cancer while promoting living life to the fullest. More info can be found on my blog; http://samiam12.blogspot.com
To help prepare for the 6,000+ mile trip I will be working as a Pedi-Cab Driver in Boston and Provincetown for the summer and donating a portion of my earnings towards the cause.
It is my hope that through this campaign I will be able to pay some good karma forward in my own way and fight to protect those who are dear to me. I also hope to meet a variety of people on my trip and share their stories.
