Woo Hoo!!! We did it!!!

Anyone who knows me is aware that autism awareness is very close to my heart. My beautiful son, Alexander was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) at an early age, and only through groups like Autism Speaks were we able to get the support we needed to work through some very challenging times.
I'm constantly trying to give back to amazing groups like Autism Speaks, so when I finally decided to commit to running a marathon I wanted to run a marathon that would be iconic and memorable. The London Marathon immediately came to mind because it would reunite me with the city I grew up in, and once that was decided upon it was a no-brainer to run it for a cause that, to me, is of the highest order.
Autism Speaks is dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of ASD; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
Since 2007 Team Up! with Autism Speaks runners have raised over $8 million through events all over the world.
Please help me raise autism awareness and reach my goal of $10k!! Plus, please check with your employer to see if they have a matching gift program!
Thanks so much!!
