I am a Mom, a Pediatric Gastroenterologist and a researcher - for all these reasons running is an important part of my life. Running re-affirms for me the importance of discipline, hard work and choosing healthy life options. I started running during pediatrics residency in 2009 and have kept running through GI fellowship, through an ankle fracture and now this -- my first real race after becoming a mother! When I run for a goal such as raising money for patient research and care (for the President's fund at Brigham and Women’s Hospital) - it motivates me to take better care of my baby, my patients and my family. Please help me get donations to the patients who need our support, any and every amount matters!
On Sunday, June 26, hundreds of teammates will join together to run the 2016 Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) 10K road race to support Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). BWH cares for patients from New England, throughout the United States, and from 120 countries around the world. Every day, BWH clinicians, researchers, and caregivers work to find new ways to predict, prevent, and treat the most challenging diseases of our time while delivering world-class care with a profoundly human touch. Our team is proud to run in support of this world-class hospital that is fueling quality patient care, innovative training, and life-changing discoveries that will benefit patients here in Boston and around the world.
