THE STORY:

Hi all, Thank you for taking the time to read our page. We, a group of Employee's from S&C, are taking on a challenge to complete a Tough Mudder. For those who are not familiar with S&C Electric Company, it is an employee owned company based out Chicago, IL which is a leader in electric power switching, protection and controls. Part of our guiding principles is to be stewards into our local communities and as such we are very excited to join forces with the America Diabetes Association. Our wellness program has been instrumental in getting our team members to become more active and the Tough Mudder challenge is a perfect venue for us to personally challenge ourselves. We as a group pledge to train and complete the 2017 Wisconsin Tough Mudder. This for those who are not familiar, is one of toughest obstacle course events in the country. It's a 10-12 mile 20+ obstacle course which will be held in at the Road America grounds in Plymouth,WI on September 9th, 2017. For the most part, our team members have never taken on such a challenge and our pledging to complete this challenge as a group. We, like many of you, have been touched by diabetes and its effect on our communities overall health. It has touched children and adults alike and forced many to live life long battles with its many side effects. Please help us to raise money to help prevent and possible cure diabetes for once and all. Not only is this money used to help research, it is helping improve the lives of many with diabetes. I personally have been touched by mother’s adult onset of type 2 diabetes. It has been a struggle for her and others like her who have been immobilized with this disease. We, as a group, have a goal to raise $20,000 for this cause.
