BENEFITING: NEWTOWN YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES INC
EVENT DATE: Dec 14, 2012
The Sandy Hook Recovery Fund was created to benefit the families affected by the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. All donations will go to Newtown Youth and Family Services, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Sandy Hook, CT, that will grant these funds directly to the victims' families. We ask that you each give $26 to help these families on their road to recovery.
$26 for 26.
On December 14, 2012, our hearts broke as 26 victims were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School during a tragic shooting - most of them innocent children who "had their entire lives ahead of them," announced President Obama.
If you are like us, you've been watching or reading the news and feeling a bit powerless. Perhaps, like us, you are also devastated by this news. Let's help those families recover from this difficult time. If each of us can donate $26 - that's one dollar for each of the victims - we can make a difference for the Sandy Hook community.
Our hope is that everyone who visits this page will donate $26 dollars in honor of the 26 victims. Our goal is to raise $260,000 to deliver critical assistance, counseling services and support to the families of Sandy Hook Elementary School. It would mean that these families can start on their road to recovery. It would also mean that 10,000 people have seen this message and were inspired to open their hearts. If you are reading this, please help to achieve this bold and ambitious goal.
Thank you for your generosity and kindness. $26 can make a difference.
Note: We have done extensive research to ensure that Newtown Youth and Family Services is both a legitimate organization and will deploy funds directly to the families affected by the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy. At the moment, they are the ONLY nonprofit in Newtown/Sandy Hook providing financial assistance to the victims' families.
