HOURS PLEDGED: 300
My time in Uganda this summer has really made me appreciate a lot of the things we take for granted, like toilets. I work in a village of around eight-hundred people, fathers, mothers, children, orphans. There are no functional toilets. Together, with the community, I am helping to design a sustainable sewage system, that would allow for the village's toilets to once again be operational. With just a little bit of support, this project can become a reality, and the people in the community who have become my friends, can have access to the basic dignity that comes with a working bathroom.
