BENEFITING: WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT
EVENT DATE: Dec 20, 2012
Pay it forward for freedom!
This Christmas, forfeit just one gift, and donate the value to a worthwhile cause, Wounded Warrior Project.
Christmastime is all about giving, spreading love, togetherness, and helping other people feel the wonder and joy of the season. In today's commercialized climate, keeping up with the Joneses and keeping fingers crossed for the latest expensive gadget too often takes precedence over lending a helping hand.
This year, an idea was born---my family asked the question, "Why don't we scale back our Christmas, implement spending limits, and take even a portion of what we would normally spend and donate it to someone in need?"
The cause we are supporting is Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org). Wounded Warrior Project honors and empowers wounded soldiers and provides help to thousands of soldiers and their families as they return home from the current conflicts. Their motto is, "The greatest casualty is to be forgotten".
This Christmas, we urge you to jump on our bandwagon and give up one---just one---gift off your wishlist, and instead, donate that value to this amazing organization. Help us get to our goal of raising $1,000!!!!
You can donate a little bit or a lot. Any amount is greatly appreciated. You can also donate completely anonomously...and you will receive a receipt for taxes. It's a win-win-win! Feel good, help out someone in need, show your support for our veterans and write off the donation on your taxes!
Thank you so much for your support of our veterans in need and their families.
