SAO & OCNA Making a Difference
Organized by: Sigma Alpha Omega
The national philanthropy of Sigma Alpha Omega is ovarian cancer awareness. This September, for Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, the Elon chapter of Sigma Alpha Omega is raising funds to support the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance in their Survivors Teaching Students program. This program trains future physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and physician assistants to be able to detect the disease during its earlier stages. Ovarian cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer-related death among women. To learn more about ovarian cancer and to educate yourself on the symptoms, you can visit: http://www.ovariancancer.org/. Thank you for helping make a difference!
