BENEFITING: SPACE FOR GIANTS USA INC
Sponsor our Climb for Giants 2016 team as they undertake the challenge of a lifetime, to climb Mt Kenya in support of a critical cause - to protect elephants from poaching. In association with Saracens Rugby Club, the team is being led by rugby legend and Namibian captain Jacques Burger, who is being joined by 5 other giants of rugby - Mike Ellery, Rhys Gill, Jim Hamilton, Nils Mordt and Ben Ransom - as well as Saracens and Space for Giants supporters. Together they will hike 50km over 4 days, acsending 2,285M to 4,985M, coping with high altitude and carrying all their equipment. At the peak, they will play the first game of rugby on top of Mt Kenya! The Climb for Giants team will be raising funds to support Space for Giants' critical elephant protection work. 100 elephants are killed every day to fuel the demand for ivory in the Far East. Space for Giants builds and maintains effective frontline anti-poaching capacity; and works to increase penalties and successful prosecutions for wildlife crimes. Together these interventions have reduced the number of elephants killed by poachers by over 70%.
