BENEFITING: The Chadtough Foundation
EVENT DATE: Mar 08, 2018
Sarah Nicoli is a Chicago native who, by way of several stops on the East Coast, has lived in Ann Arbor for 25 years. Though she and her husband, Dan, moved for his U-M medical residency and had planned on a short stint here, they decided to stay put and call this their home. They’ve never looked back and can’t imagine being anywhere else! Their 3 children— Charlie, John, and Catherine-- have all grown up as AAPS students and active community volunteers, athletes and musicians.
Sarah has a varied career background, including over a decade of sales and marketing management at Procter & Gamble and 15+ years as an entrepreneur in the Stationary/Office Supplies sector. She’s currently on a self-imposed mini-retirement as she contemplates her “chapter #3”. Over the years, Sarah's volunteer endeavors have included service to the Hands on Museum, CSS, St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, AAPS, and Mott Children’s Hospital. She is currently serving as Board Chair of UMS (University Musical Society, ums.org), the performing arts presenter affiliate at U of M.
Her participation in the ChadTough DWTMS fundraiser is dually inspired by following the Carr family’s story in the local media and in honor of her childhood best friend, Peter, who lost the battle to cancer in junior high. Sarah hopes to help make a real impact through her fundraising efforts on behalf of The ChadTough Foundation and looks forward to conquering her fear of public dancing which began at the age of 5, when she flunked out of ballet class.
