As Our Own (Charasia NFP)
While I have not visited this organization myself yet, I (Sarah) have many friends who have had the opportunity to see their work first hand, and I have supported them in various ways. As Our Own rescues children certain enslavement and exploitation from brothels in a specific city (unnamed for safety reasons) in India and provides life long aftercare for these precious children (majority are girls) in a family environment, with a staff that truly cares for them as their own. Girls are receiving a loving home, an education, and a chance for a future outside the walls of the brothel. Visit www.asourown.org for more information.
Misha sponsors a child in India through Compassion International which is a child-advocacy ministry that pairs a child with a sponsor, exchanging letters and sending finances.
Sarah sponsors a child in the Dominican Republic through World Vision, an organization similar to Compassion that brings sponsors and donors alongside children and communities in nearly 100 countries. The organization works across multiple issues — from health to disaster response — integrating lasting solutions to the root causes of poverty and sharing God’s hope for a brighter future. Learn more at www.worldvision.org.

Misha also has multiple friends who are currently overseas at mission hospitals with Samaritan’s Purse as part of the Post Residency program.
