This is our 4th (maybe 5th) year doing Fight the Night, and ultimate tournament in Portland Maine in January where all the money raised goes to Camp Sunshine. Camp Sunshine, as you might remember from previous years, is an extraordinary camp where children and families of children with life-threatening illnesses get to spend time and have a blast. It gives them an opportunity to play and be kids, connect with other families going through similar situations, and try to ignore what they are all going through for a bit of time. The camp is FREE for these families and run by volunteer counselors, so they need donations to keep it going. One of the counselors, Kyla M., is our teammate from UNH and she describes the camp as "without a doubt my favorite place in the world.... indescribable magic happens at this place." If you are able to donate a monetary gift, Trevor and I (as well as the coordinators of Fight the Night, and Camp Sunshine) appreciate it very much! If not, any donation of well-wishes and good-feels can be sent our way for the tournament night and for the families that this camp helps :) Happy new years!
